Nicholaus holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in social work and is registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with the goal of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the near future. Nicholaus has over 10 years of experience working with adolescents in different settings and capacities. Some of this experience includes coaching junior high boys basketball for a number of years and working at Stanislaus Military Academy where he worked closely with students who have endured difficult life circumstances. He took pride in providing mentoring, life skills, and unconditional support for students in their most vulnerable of times. Nicholaus believes that every teen should be able to have a voice, be heard, understood and respected no matter the circumstances. Nicholaus uses an empathetic and trauma-informed approach to establish rapport and build a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients.
Nicholaus is a dedicated father and husband and enjoys spending time with his family above all. Serving in the Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer from 2011-2015, Nicholaus is a veteran who takes pride in serving his country. A diverse background has helped him connect with teens on many different levels. As an avid football fan since childhood, he takes pride in being a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers. Supportive, understanding, empathetic and honesty are strengths that help guide and inform his style when working with clients. Nicholaus looks forward to working with your teens and helping them establish measurable goals and success.
